Our team at Springfield Dental Care is dedicated to provide you with the best treatment and care available. In our team, there are 2 dentists, two dedicated dental nurses and one receptionist. We are committed to continuous professional development and constantly updating our knowledge and techniques. Dentist

David graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1987. Over the last 36 years of working in different parts of Scotland and London, he has carried out a large number of dental sedations, wisdom tooth extractions and advanced dental implant restorations. He gained his MSc in Implant Dentistry, after 3 years of further postgraduate study at the University of Warwick. He used to hold an honorary teaching position and also a MSc supervisor at the same university. He mentors other dentists in the placement and restoration of dental implants and is also involved in Cambridge Implant Academy. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of England in 2013. Due to his broad experience, David has a calm and confident approach in treating all his patients. David speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.

Dr Hugh Taggart

Dentist

Hugh graduated with Dr Chan from the same university in 1987 and entered the general practice in the same year. He established his first practice in Pollokshaws in 1990 and follow by a second one not long after. He has undergone extensive postgraduate training in dental implants, smile makeovers, Inman Aligner and all other aspects of cosmetic dentistry, as well as in routine dentistry. He works part-time as a clinical teacher in Dundee Dental School, teaching modern clinical dentistry to students. Hugh is very experienced, friendly and well-liked by all his patients. He would no doubt provide an excellent service to the patients of our practice. Hugh enjoys running to keep fit and you may see him running around the loch.

Dr Ching Feng Sia

Dentist

Being a highly motivated and enthusiastic dentist, Ching is passionate about life-long learning and keen to continually gaining his knowledge, skills and experience in all aspects of dentisty, with a particular interest in Restorative Dentistry. Currently, he is a Specialty Dentist in Restorative Dentistry of Dundee Dental Hospital. But his aspiration is to further his career in Primary Dental Care of GDS, where he hopes to apply his skills and knowledge in providing better dental care and improving the well-being of his patients. He has completed his PG Certificate in Implant Dentistry in Leeds recently and can now include dental implants in his vast treatment armamentarium. Ching is well-liked by his patients due to his soft spoken, gentle approach and kindness.
